A Cure for Daily Mental and Physical Fatigue

How many times a day do you feel tired, overwhelmed, depressed, anxious or a number of other emotions that might be keeping you from giving your highest self to the moment?

Well, I think I might have found the simplest and most profound cure.  WATER.

 A few of my mentors and heroes have been suggesting to me lately to drink a minimum of 6 liters of WATER a day to keep myself in an optimal state so that I can continue to SHARE THE LOVE!

So, i tried it.  And, WOW, it works.  

Most of time our heavy emotions are directly related to dehydration!  I have tried this lately and find that when I get out of sorts emotionally or physically, I can simply down a liter of water and come out the other side refreshed and chipped up again.

There are so many things in our world today that are zapping our bodies of hydration including the air we breath (air conditioning especially) the foods we eat and simply our lack to consume this essential potion as we are bombarded by alternatives that are not well suited for hydration. 

If you think about it, it makes complete sense.  Our bodies are composed of more then 60% water, so it would seem that if there was a lack of this in our system that the system would go into flight or fight and start sending off all kinds of mixed signals to the rest of the systems in the body.  

So, it is time to get hydrated, feel good and pee lots.  Many people don't drink enough water because they have a small bladder and they find themselves having to pee a lot.  I think it is a very small tradeoff to have an abundance of energy that comes with full hydration and also, that pee break might be just what you need to release stress, come up with a brilliant idea, or just to simply take a much needed break.  

One great way to tell if the body is hydrated is The color of the pee.  If it is anything other then clear, time to get some water into the system.

Here is a little week long test you can do for yourself.  Give your best effort to consume 4 to 8 litres of water (depending on your activity and weight) and gauge what are the results.  Make sure that is plain, clean and fresh pure water, not bubble drinks or sugar based juices. Now gauge,  Do you have more energy?  Do you have less Stress?  Are you happier?

Enquiring minds want to know!  hehe.

Here are a few pointers that you can follow on your way to optimal hydration.  

1.  When you wake in the morning - Drink 2 liters before breakfast

2. Drink another 2 to 3 liters throughout the day keeping mindful of your states and when you get tired, drink a liter before you lay down to rest and see if that helps. 

3. Do not drink a large amount of water before sleeping.  start to ween down a few hours before rest.

4.  When tired or irritable, before judging yourself or feeling bad, drink a liter of water and see if it changes.

5. Find duties during the day that you can connect the water intake to. (Like Yoga Practice, cooking, cleaning, writing, ect.) connecting it to an event that you do very often in the day will insure that you are getting all of your required litres down the hatchet!  

6.  HAVE FUN and PEE A LOT!

The Story of "High"

It was in one of the weakest moments in my life that the melody of this "High" vibrational offering came through me.  Here is the album insert text…..

"3 years, 10,000 miles and 5,400 meters above the substance based life I lived in the not-so distant past, I found myself sluggishly pulling myself over the final pass on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.  It was in these moments that the melody of “High” came to me like a welcomed friend, there to aid in my completion of the circuit. The lyrics came as a reminder of all the blissful experiences of deep meditation that lifted me to great heights since I had given up drugs and alcohol on my 30^th birthday."

But there is much more then that to tell in this story.  This song lifted me up!  Brought me back to LIFE in many ways, musically and actually.  It was a gift. This song was a pivotal moment in my life.  

Musically, I knew it was a hit immediately.  It was the first real CATCHY melody that I had ever wrote and there was just something about it even before I wrote the lyrics.  So when the lyrics began to come, I found them reflecting the inner peace that comes from meditation and I was lifted to great heights, emotional, physically, spiritually, mentally and actually.  This song shed light on a LIFE PATH and on a deep knowing that NO MATTER WHAT, I always have the ability to go inside and feel blissful and alive.   

I began to share it and found it having a similar effect on those around me.  It was the highlight of concerts and gatherings and then when we went into the studio, which summed up went something like this …..

"Young and upcoming producer Joseph E-Shine came into the production of high shortly after finding his path in yoga and meditation.  Much to our surprise, the confident 21 year-old came into the studio and, with determination and focus, knocked out our first single in just under 8 hours. Much to his surprise, I nailed the lead vocals in 1 take, Twice. "

I knew this song, this message, this energy, this joy, this vibration was meant to be NOW!

So what to do for the video? OK, let's create a dance out of it we thought, lets get some flashmob action going.  Lets put as much fun and light behind this message as possible, because that is what the world NEEDS!  LIGHT!!!  There is so much heaviness around reflected in our daily lives.  This LIGHT, that we all have access to INSIDE is what I see to be the thread of of our lives, and if this video can trigger ANYONE to take that look, even for a moment …. well …. SUCCESS!!!  And I also believe that a SMILE is our greatest currency.

Why are we going for 1 Million here in such a short time?  Why?  Because!  Life is a game and I am here to PLAY it!  Yeah, this isn't a video of a talking cat or a stoned rainbow man, but it is one that will put a smile on your face, a bounce in your step and maybe, just maybe, make you look inside and sing ba-pa-dap-ba-dap yourself, bringing the seriousness of everyday life to that light inner joy that is accessible in every moment, INSIDE!  Let's bring that love to the forefront of the online video charade.

And speaking of INSIDE, This Love has been actualized in collaboration with many people, most importantly, the devotion, encouragement and steady stream of love and commitment from my dear partner Mai Segev.  She made the final decision on the production direction in the studio, produced the music video and has believed in "High" from the very first moment it touched her heart!

I Killed a Lizard and Transcended Today's Fast Paced Times

The other day I was happily troding along  on my Blue Bullet Love Machine, smiling bright, enjoying the breeze, swerving, swaying and then suddenly I saw right in front of me the most beautiful creature moving at a snails pace.  He was large, scaly and in his final moments, he looked up at me.  My body and mind did not react fast enough in the few milliseconds I had to swerve my monster of progress out of the way in order for the multi-colored amphibian to happily trot about his days, and then it was over.  The lizard left squashed on the road and me, left pondering this fast-paced world.  WHY. Why are we constantly moving faster and what we we rushing to do.  As if the notion of infinite time and space has done nothing for the collective consciousness.  Here we are, creating faster cars, faster trains, faster planes, we are building faster, talking faster, thinking faster, worrying faster, killing ourselves faster and we truly have no reason why, it is just what everyone is doing.  It is the status quo to feel like your life is moving as fast as possible toward the end.  Hmmm.  I cannot say that I don't enjoy the pleasures of a fast paced world, high speed internet, tons of connectivity, a fast bike, the ability to travel anywhere and create high quality products in the blink of an eye.  But from this experience I have had to take a look in and see where all of that desire and progression is getting ME, US, the WORLD.  well, I have to say NO PLACE FAST.  

About 2 years ago I spent almost 30 days walking through the himalayan mountains in Nepal.  During that time I have never felt so completely alive, ever.  my steps were harmonious to the rhythms of the earth, I was greeted by the trees, smiled at by the plants and from the insects to the animals there was a revery for one another.  We were all enjoying nature and all of creation together.  Yes, my food would be cooked for me in makeshift houses and served up on a plate and the animals and insects had to work a bit harder (I am not sure of that really as they do not have the mental aspect of lack so they are just naturally driven to seek out food) anyways, even in those make shift houses I was treated like family.  My days were full, complete and my connection deep.  And, it got me into a mindset of the Walking Man.  There is such complete joy in taking it slow, observing the little things and being able to stop OFTEN and smell the flowers.  I had lost a bit of that when I decided to actively pursue my music offering, but this simple interaction with the Lizard brought it all back.  So, here I am again, adopting a way of life into my mind to see how it works.  I am going to live in the paradigm of the walking man.  I harmony with the earth in all my steps gracefully lighting up the day.  Yeah, the probably does not mean that I am going to give up my fast-paced modes of transportation and the life of a man traveling all over the world, but it does mean that I will tread lightly and have the awareness, slow-down my breath to that of a walking man, take deep breaths and stopping often to smell the flowers and someday when I am ready, I will probably spend many of  my days walking.  I already have a plan actually. 

As for the lizard, well, I am sure his service to my mind has transcended him to altered states of reality.  His next incarnation might just so be an enlightened master, as he/she just enlightened me.  Grateful!

Waking Up With A Smile!

I feel so grateful to have a partner that I can now wake up to with a smile. Ask me 3 years ago or even a year ago and I would have not been able to tell you the same but now I truly believe that "Life is much better SHARED." The game is to go deep inside and realize the right partner for YOU, not for your patterns. The first thing is to see the patterns of the Partners that keep coming in that DO NOT WORK. The partner of your dreams might be someone whom you could never imagine because we tend to see the world through the eyes of a ROM COM, where everything is perfect, passionate and FOREVER. A REAL relationship is in the NOW, and this NOW is forever and the now changes, and there are storms, there are heavy currents, there are blissful flights and passionate nights, but the PARTNER of our dreams is the one, whom you ENJOY THE RIDE, whom you can yell, scream and fight from a place of love and awareness and at the end of the day when all is said and done, you can wipe the slate clean with LOVE and wake up the next day again with a SMILE!


So, short advise, GET CLEAR beyond the FORM, shiz, get clear with the FORM as well, but that can be sculpted with the mind and will fade in time. Find out what you want, what you need and what you want to give. Allowing Greatness - Recording in Sderot - Part 1

"Allow Greatness" - These were the words that I posted on my Facebook Status when I arrived in Sderot on July 19th, 2010. After 5 years I have found myself in the studio once again, ready to release a whole new side of me. A me that is only part me and all God. Today I listen as for in years before I demanded control. So much so, that I could not get myself to record in a major studio. I made sure that I did all recording, editing and producing myself. This was my baby! But today, I find myself surrendered to a much great offering that demands the presence of many, a creation that is unified and constructed by great power.

So, now I am sitting with a room full of engineers and a producer that works so clear and so fast that I cannot help but move out of His way and truly "Allow Greatness!" And beyond that, the college has donated the studio to us for the full 2 days to utilize to our greatest potential.

I spent a whole lot of time watching the patterns of my mind. I am not great enough and I do not deserve this were two reccuring dreams. And, funny enough, even if "I" do not, The Much Bigger "I" deserves everything and anything. It is creation and whether or not I think "I" am great person or not "The Big I" could honestly care less. It is working a force through me that "I" cannot stop and if I were to, it would take so much effort that it would probably kill me in the process. So, again, I Allow Greatness!

A Spiritual Principle that came during guitar practice today via Guthrie Govan's Creative Guitar Book

While in the middle of my guitar practice today, I dawned upon an spiritual principle that I have shaped my life around. It came in this text…

THIS MY DEAR FRIENDS IS AN BELOW AVERAGE DAY OF ACTIVITY FOR THIS CHAP!! I LOVE THIS CITY!! I COULD EXPLORE IT EVERYDAY!! SO MUCH FUN. Getting smooshed on the trains, becoming stronger and stronger and getting the out side space on the car. Walking slow and smooth. Smiling bright at each and every person. Enjoying the heart guided flow. An india Day is like no other, it is an experience. And, even after 2 years, It still feels like the first time I am seeing it!! What a gift!

One in the Rain

Most days I find more water coming out of me then going in, even with an 4 Litre Intake! My guitar strings are dead almost instantly after the time that I change them. Food dies on the way to my mouth. It is hot, sticky and in the Masala filled air, there is a sense of suffocation that persists in your day to day in Mumbai. But, then, like a angelic lover's kiss, the soft caress of Rain gently nudges the temperature to perfection of human condition and we continue on our day, wet and soggy but grateful that the great grandmother nature is still sweet enough to bless Great Mother India with her sweet nectar of cool Rain. I could just spend days walking in it...Wouldn't that be amazing if we could spend our lives naked in the cool rains of change, only lusting after a kiss of the sky, walking by and by catching eyes but focusing our energy on the healing up high, watching peacefully as we ascend farther and farther away from the great lie of "I" ....

What I Love About India - #350

Well, do not tell anyone, but I have been driving my motorcycle around illegally for the last two years out here in India, and, now that I am in Mumbai, people are telling me that I must be VERY CAREFUL so that I do not get in trouble with the law while doing so. India is all about Freedom really, It is the most amazing thing to know that with a smile and an open heart India will allow you the freedom to continue on with that smile, as long as you are sharing that will others. So, back to the story....The other day I was in town and I had parked my bike in a tow away place and actually got towed to the yard. So, my initial thought was that my bike is not gone, for sure. No License, No Registration, No Insurance. In America, well, In America, you will pay your life away and loose your license for this kind of action. What to do! So, when I showed up at the Towing Yard I just had to smile, knowing that there was nothing that I can do in this situation. I literally came up to the man shaking my head gently in the INdian Nod, asking, WHAT TO DO! He met my smile with an equal and compassionate embrace, half laughing as he is getting to the bottom of my lack of Credentials and essentials for the Bearaucracy. Our conversation went on with him mentioning to me that I would have to pay a big fine and he did not want to charge me all that money. He knew that I did not have the proper papers but he was on my side, and this is not the only time this has happened in this country. He worked with me to find a way to release my bike for the lowest possible amount and although I paid more then most, probably, an equivalent of about $18 for all of my illegal ways, I was still send off with a huge heart and a smile....and...to top it off, he even chased me down on my way out and gave me another 100 RS back!! Amazing!!! We hugged each other in a smile and I went on happily down the road, free, knowing that In this country, You can live without all the the government nonsense, you just may have to pay a little bit from time to time to keep the dogs off your back. Like a true Sicilian!! Love it!!

One more side note. IN India, the best way to make sure a policeman does not find you suspicious, SMILE AT HIM SO DEEPLY THAT HIS FEAR TURNS TO LOVE. SMILE BEFORE HE CAN EVEN CONJURE UP THE THOUGHT!! WORKS EVERY TIME!!

Getting Down to Business!

Well, the time has come to begin the process of making big decisions and commitments in the upsurge of the demand for this particular offering to the world. It is the most exciting and most fearful time of my life, letting go of the control that I have been so accustomed to in the past, as I was the only person doing all of the Work for Full Moon Rising. Now there help, lots of it!!, something that I have wanted for years and has finally come to manifestation, and I am scared shitless of letting go. I want to have my eyes and ears on every deal, every movement and I am constantly spinning in circles about decisions and future possibilities. The place where I find the most peace is always in my heart. Really, my mind can fuss and drag on about the most trivial of all possible decisions and ventures, but when I come into that still place of the heart, all my decisions are made for themselves and I am free to draw lines and boundaries of protection around myself that allow for even great freedom through the expression of written word. I have come to find all the business so very interesting. I place in which we go into an understanding, not to take from each other, but to insure the happiness of all involved at all times. To insure the growth of the project and the intention behind it. I know that there is more to think about and ponder right now then ever before, so, again, I go to the heart and check in with the great wheel of creation guiding the journey. I will sleep knowing the my decisions will benefit the whole of all involved and move us all toward a greater world, but still, it is that loss of control that is ferocious. But, like I say many times now a days, THE TIME IS NOW! There is no way for anything to grow on my own, The arms legs and multiple heads that will continue to blossom this profound music project are all coming to the surface and by conduction clean and clear Business Stratagies, we can all rest assured that all of our interests, collectively and individually are in the highest of order! Let's see how it all plays out, I am just scratching the surface for now!!

Just Felt Like Writing Something

Through the business of these days, the constant day to day meandering through this material existence, playing the game of life in a fluid and highly charged manner, I can only share words of complete gratitude! I know I spend a lot of time in positive portrayal of life and I know that there are possibly many people out there that would just like to slap the shit out of me and say, STOP BEING SO F***KING POSITIVE. OK, but why. Yeah my mind goes through the turmoil of existence on a daily basis, pondering insane thoughts of unrest and doubt, but, why I SAY, why speak on them. Words are as powerful as worlds and are the creators of our reality, so, I speak what I wish to see in my life, I share when my heart is open and I like to speak out from that place. There isn't space for self-loathing anymore, although it will always be somewhere tucked in our consciousness, but, again, I ask why, why speak on it. Because it help you to say hmmmmmm, possibly, but I will spit some lyrics at you from the song "HIGH" - Now watch what you say because the plants they play in the words echoing in the breeze - with a healthy mind and a healthy speech WE CAN POWER THE WORLD TO PEACE!! -

I look around a lot lately at this little game of life that 7 billion of us are playing on this planet, and, honestly, I cannot help but laugh when I come upon the realization that I play the game as a being whom acts as a guide to bring others to see this all as a game, and the game that I play has endless work for hundreds of years!! Oh, what a fun choice I have made....Such gratitude to walk hand and hand with the people that are making a difference in a time and space that really does not exist and even if it does, is such a small part of the infinite universe that is inside of each and every one of us. We are so powerful, yet we use our minds to disempower ourselves daily, WHY!!

Imagine a life where you are aware of the inevitable end, the "so-called" death, and each and every day you live in a reflection of the LIFE that is here now, and are completely expressive in each and every moment of it.

Imagine a life in which you whole-heartedly go after the things that are of your greatest imagination.
Imagine a life in which fear takes a back seat to love.
Imagine a life in which you manifest each and every little thing that you have ever wanted in your existence.
Imagine a life in which you are healthy and vibrant and feel like you are getting younger as the years pile on.
Imagine a life in which you are one with god, not God's servant or separate.
Imagine a life in which you are disciplined enough to love and respect YOURSELF and your integrity!
Imagine a life in which you wake up every day in complete gratitude and awe of EVERYTHING!
Start THIS MOMENT and make this your reality! It is a choice, believe me.

Lately I have been using various techniques that aid in my taking a conscious decision to completely alter the conditioning that has kept me down for so many years. After 30 years of waking up wanting to punch a small child, I now can wake with a sense of peace and calm, thinking thoughts of endless possibilities and gratitude for the many blessings I have in that moment. I see the people around me blossoming and creating their bliss daily!! oh boy, what a blessing it all is.......at this point, there is only one more thing I have to say, I AM IN LOVE WITH ME and MY LIFE and that makes my relationship with each and every entity on earth radiate from that space!! So, when I say I LOVE YOU, I can only say it because....I LOVE ME SO MUCH.

Our imagination is our reality when acted upon.....

- Vasai is an area north of the city apparently where these guys are growing pesticide free.

Such fabulous instructions, directions - I'm imagining this BladeRunner scenario of you in the rain soaked melee of the train station scoring these organic veggies... more valuable than spice or drugs in bombay...

AND THIS IS MY RESPONSE!!!!

I see the whole thing going down right now!! I show up in a black hoodie, posed as a muslim woman, sneaking silently into the shadows behind the trees whispering "Vasaiwala, Vasaiwala....." Slowly an indian man perches up from dimly lit corner market hiding a bag under his Doti.....looking the other way he gently glides within arms reach and as I kneel down to expose the fresh organic goodies tucked up into his wastebasket, three spotlights blare into myeyes, exposing the much ashamed ORGANIC PRODUCE EXCHANGE...I am then sentence to a LIfe in indian prison for such a vile attempt at eating clean, natural, UNCOOKED food in the Pond we call MUMBAI!!

One of my FAVORITE stories - A MUST READ

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big
advice on the door on which it was written:
“Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this
company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room
that has been prepared in the gym”.

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their
colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know
who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the
company itself.

The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered
to control the crowd within the room.

The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated
up.


Everyone thought: “Who is this guy who was hindering my progress?
Well, at least he died!”.

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when
they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood
nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched
the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it
could see himself.

There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:
“There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your
growth: IT IS YOU.
You are the only person who can revolutionize your life. You are the
only person who can influence your happiness, your realization and
your success. You are the only person who can help yourself.

Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends
change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when
your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go
beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only
one responsible for your life.

“The most important relationship you can have, is the one you have
with yourself”

Examine yourself, watch yourself. Don’t be afraid of difficulties,
impossibilities and losses: be a winner, build yourself and your
reality.

The world is like a mirror: it gives back to anyone the reflection
of the thoughts in which one has strongly believed.

The world and your reality are like mirrors laying in a coffin,
which show to any individual the death of his divine capability to
imagine and create his happiness and his success.

It’s the way you face Life that makes the difference!

Always One To Remember

A young man, a student in one of the universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students' friend for his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.

As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which were supposed to belong to a poor man who was working in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day's work . . .

Student turned to the professor, saying: "Let us play the man a trick:

We will hide his shoes, and hide ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them ..."

"My young friend," answered the professor, "We should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor . . . But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of this poor man.

Put a coin in each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how this affects him." Visit: The student did so and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by. The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes . . .


While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes, but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin. Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance.


He gazed upon the coin, turned it around and looked at it again and again.


He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen. He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin . . .


His feelings overcame him . . . He fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving in which he spoke of his wife, sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom this timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing . . .


The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears.

"Now," said the professor, are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?"

The youth replied, "You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. .. I feel now the truth of these words, which I never understood before: "It's more blessed to give than to receive."

Something that I wrote about love on the Chameleon Tour - 2005

I was going over the Full Moon Rising Chameleon Tour Experience the other day and found these gems of wisdom....thought to share!!

LOVE IS ETERNAL, LOVE IS INFINITE, IT HAS NO BOUNDRIES, IT HAS NO LABELS AND IS A FEELING OF LIGHTNESS AND UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PEOPLE/THINGS, NOT HEAVINESS, NEED OR ANY OTHER NEGATIVE EMOTION. I NEVER WOULD HAVE IMAGINED A LIFE OF LOVE LIKE THIS..

I LOVE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, BUT ONLY IN THE TRUE ESSENCE OF LOVING MYSELF HAVE I FOUND THAT THE WORD LOVE MEANS:


FREEDOM


SO WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE “FALLING IN LOVE” REDIRECT THAT THOUGHT TO: I AM INFINITELY UNSCATHED BY FEAR AND NEGATIVITY AND OPEN TO EXPERIENCE THE LIGHT OF HUMAN CONNECTIVITY, FOR THOSE WORDS CAN MAKE ANYONE FEEL LIKE THEY ARE FALLING.


A BROKEN HEART IS A BROKEN PERSON IN NEED OF SELF REALIZATION THAT WAS NOT IN LOVE, BUT WAS EVERYTHING ELSE BUT “IN LOVE”


TRUST ME, IT IS EASIER TO FEAR, IT IS WHAT WE DO, BUT GO LOOK UP THE WORD LOVE, FOR IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FEAR.

Please do not let that word enter into any relationship in your life, ever, it will only cause you and those around you harm that there is no need to have…I think this upcoming lesson is the biggest one of the whole tour…I am actually writing this on the other end of the lesson, almost 2 weeks later…this is a good one…but please just remember the most important word in life and do not forget it…
